Chief Strategy Officer at BBDO Paris – France
When he was 10 yo, Loïc Mercier already knew he wanted to spend decades in the advertising industry. Graduated from a Master degree in Marketing and Advertising at Sup de Pub (Inseec), he started his career at 23 at DMB&B, working as a junior strategic planner. Passionate by creativity and after 4 years of writing many creative briefs, he decided to switch to the creative side and became copywriter for 3 years. Come back to planning in 2006 at Ogilvy&Mather Paris, where he led the strategic destiny of Perrier, Vittel, Europcar, Ford, Duracell, winning Lions as well as Effies.
In 2011, Loïc joined Proximity BBDO Paris as Head of Planning to add to his advertising expertise the ones of digital, crm and retail, winning again Lions and Effies (Mercedes, smart, Conforama, …).
Passionate by effectiveness, Loïc helped Proximity BBDO Paris to become the most awarded agency in the last 3 years at the French Effies, the first French agency in the Effie Index 2016 & 2017 and was jury at French Effie Awards (2015), Effie Awards Europe (2014 & 2016) and Global Effie on the inaugural « Postive Change Award » in 2015 and in the regular jury in 2016 ans 2018.
