Georges-Edouard Dias – former Chief Digital Officer at L'Oreal

Georges-Edouard Dias

Until recently, Georges-Edouard Dias was heading L'Oreal's Digital Strategy & Business, a position which he held since 2001. With his team, he drove L'Oréal's shift into the digital age which included transformation of communication, sales operations and management processes for every L'Oreal division worldwide: from concluding partnerships with leading global digital players such as Apple, Facebook, Google anf Microsoft to rethinking the role of direct communication and customer interaction in the marketing mix, thanks to an integrated CRM & media approach. Georges-Edouard was previously VP of Interactive Development at L'Oreal USA where he defined the company's policy related to digital commerce and launched the first selling sites in L'Oreal's history.

His interactive career commenced when he was promoted Project Manager in charge of launching L'Oreal's corporate website in 1997, an important change from his previous positions in the group which were mostly marketing focused. After graduating from HEC in France in 1983, he started out as a Product Manager at Garnier International, later joining L'Oreal, becoming VP of Marketing at Vichy International before he moved to Corporate.

Georges-Edouard's future plan is to work on an entrepreneurial venture, presumably in the digital marketing and media space.








Alessandro Panella

Alessandro Panella is in his current position since November 2007 after spending three years as a Marketing Manager at Vodafone Germany and four years as a Management Consultant at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. He started his career in advertising at Grey where he spent his first 5 years as an account planner for Procter & Gamble in three different markets.

Alessandro looks back at more than 17 years of experience in marketing, brand consulting, strategy and communication on both the agency and industry side. His areas of expertise include FMCG, pharmaceutical, retail, food & beverage and telecoms. In his current position, he has developed several Studies for Grey on a variety of topics including "The future of retail communication", "Silver ager & Female marketing" and "Food Trends". Last year Grey Germany won a gold Euro Effie and silver at the German Effie.

In his spare time, Alessandro likes to cook, play with his two children and visit his family in Switzerland, Spain and Italy.


Aline Bardisbanian

Aline Bardisbanian has been working in advertising since 1991. She started as an Account Executive at TBWA/Producta and 4 years later moved to McCann Erickson as an Account Supervisor. She then moved to Adel Saatchi & Saatchi. During those years, Aline has been part of teams that have handled brands of companies such as: BDF, Kraft Foods, Johnson & Johnson, Telestet Mobile Telephony, Unilever, Ideal Standard.

She started working at Bold Ogilvy in 2000 as an Account Director and in 2004 she had the unique experience of handling the account of ATHENS 2004 and working for the international image campaign of the Olympic Games in Athens. In 2005, Aline was promoted to Business Unit Director, and since then has been responsible for handling important accounts such as: WIND(Telco), BP Hellas Fuels, FAGE (leading Greek yogurt brands), Food Plus (Pizza Hut and KFC) and Hellenic Telecommunications Organisation S.A.

After working as a Communications Manager for a luxury goods firm, he joined Now Available the day it was founded, as an Account Director. Today, Now Available is one of Italy's leading independent agencies.

He has also worked as a Strategic Planner at Berlingske Media, working closely with media brands such as Urban, Berlingske, BT as well as a long range of e-commerce brands. Today, he is Marketing Editor at Berlingske Media where he is responsible for the brands Berlingske and AOK.


Dražen Nikolić

Dražen Nikolić specialises in new business development and strategic planning. Throughout his career he has sat on all sides of the table – as a client, agency and media representative. Until recently, he was the Director of Raiffeisen Consulting working for one of the leading banks in Croatia but has now moved on to represent Adriatic Croatia International Club - ACI d.d. as Member of the Board.

In the last 21 years, Dražen has worked on projects in fields such as FMCG, finance, technology and service. He has also worked on privatization and investment projects, media crisis communication and public and humanitarian projects.

Glen Flaherty

Glen began his career at Grey London in 1989, and became Global Planning Director in 1994. He worked for Euro RSCG (London) and BBDO Worldwide (Amsterdam, Paris & New York). In 2003, he became Worldwide Head of Strategy at Euro RSCG (New York, London).

Glen co-founded NoFormula in 2005, a specialist consultancy with a particular emphasis on managing the strategic tensions inherent in global brand development.

Glen oversees 360° brand and communications strategy for Kia and Hyundai (Europe), as well as Innocean's other clients.


Greta Koleva-Hikova

In March 2008, she became the Head of Communication Consultancy Department.

Greta has more than 18 years of experience in marketing and corporate communications, acquired through the development of communication strategies and campaigns for some of the Bulgarian market's leading brands and companies in areas such as finance, retail and FMCG.

She has previously been a member of the jury for Effie Bulgaria between 2007 and 2012.


Joăo Braga

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Joăo moved to the UK, where he got his Master's degree in Marketing Communications before moving back to Săo Paulo.

Before joining Publicis Lisbon as Creative Director, Joăo Braga worked in Brazil for 15 years in agencies such as Lew'Lara\TBWA and JWT Săo Paulo.

During that period, he developed work for clients like Coca-Cola, Renault, VISA, Nokia, HSBC, Kraft Foods, Nissan, Banco Santander, Nestlé and Microsoft. His work has been rewarded with various national and international awards including Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Joăo now lives in Lisbon with his wife and two kids.


Karin Lehmann

After a career in big advertising agencies, Karin Lehmann finally became CEO at McCann-Erickson and Austria3/TBWA, handling clients such as L'Oréal, BDF/Nivea as well as several Henkel and Nestlé brands. She is one of the representatives in the Advertising Division of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce where she focuses on education programmes offered to their members.

Luciana Cani

Luciana Cani was born in Brazil. She worked as a Senior Art Director in Săo Paulo for agencies such as Ogilvy, Leo Burnett and Grey, winning several international awards.

She joined Leo Burnett Lisbon 6 years ago and is part of the team that helped Leo Burnett Lisbon in becoming the best creative agency in Portugal and taking place in the top ten agencies worldwide.

In 2011, Luciana became Creative Director at the firm and she was promoted to Executive Creative Director a year later.


Mafalda Henriques

Ralph Poser

Raquel Gonçalves

After obtaining a degree in business management and a post-graduate diploma in finance marketing from the Investigation Centre of Finance Markets and Assets (ISCTE), Raquel Gonçalves got her first job in the bond department at BNP Paribas. In January 2004, she became Strategic Planner for all the agency's accounts and in 2005, she was promoted to Strategic Planning Director. She moved to Wunderman Portugal in 2006 where she holds the same position.

Silvana Ban has been managing the Tele2 brand in Croatia for more than 7 years, building and maintaining brand excellence in all brand relevant touch points.

Her responsibilities extend to managing 360° advertising campaigns, corporate identity and product packaging but also handling media work.

Prior to joining the telecom industry, Silvana managed brands in the banking and cosmetics industries, also heading PR activities.

Her professional life in marketing began after graduating from the University of Economics in Zagreb.


Špela Kozamernik

After serving as campaign manager for the youth segment at Si.mobil, Špela Kozamernik joined Pristop, a leading consultancy and communications company in South-Eastern Europe, in February 2011.

Špela entered the advertising and marketing industry in 2003. Tamina Plum

With a client set that has included Oracle, BlackBerry (RIM), Emirates Airlines, Sun Microsystems and Morgan Stanley, Tamina has spent much of her media planning and activation career with a focus on digital technology and high net-worth individuals.

Coming from Chicago, Tamina relocated to London in 2007 to gain global and regional account experience across the Publicis Groupe network. She currently oversees a group of accounts at ZenithOptimedia which include Oracle and Lexus and is responsible for talent development/training for ZO Worldwide.


Tatyana Strashnenko

Tatyana Strashnenko has 16 years of experience in marketing and advertising on both client and agency sides. She started her career in the marketing department of P&G Russia working on bringing to the Russian market internationally renowned brands such as Always and Blend-a-med. Wiebke Dreyer graduated from the University of Arts with a Master of Arts in Communication Science. She has more than 10 years' experience in strategic planning. She spent 7 years at DDB Berlin developing brand and communication strategies for clients such as Volkswagen, Vattenfall, DB and Ikea Austria. She always had a strong focus on customer insight – what makes them tick and how to get them involved with a brand. Prior to VCCP, Wiebke spent 2 years with TBWA leading several NIVEA accounts strategically on a global level, which included several international insight studies on women and femininity around the world as well as product concept development. Wiebke joined VCCP in March 2009 and is responsible for all strategic issues within the German market.

BSUR Shanghai is part of the BSUR group.

Wilbert has a cum laude marketing Bachelor from the Netherlands, two internal management MBA trainings and has fulfilled senior marketing management roles at major international FMCG companies.

He has lived in 3 continents, travelled to 5 and has visited well over 70 countries in the world. He is married to his wife Annette, plays water polo and golf, runs triathlons & marathons and has a strong interest in travelling, cultures, reading about modern art and Chinese history, movies and music.


Willem-Albert Bol

Willem-Albert Bol is a true marketing and communications guy. He started working in the media industry in 1998, working at VNU/ Sanoma publishing house, where he held multiple positions before being appointed Advertising Marketing Manager. Later he switched to the agency side, working for TBWA as a Connections Director. Since 2008, Willem-Albert's on the advertiser's side as Media Manager & Marcom Planning at Vodafone in the Netherlands.

Next to his work, Willem-Albert is active as a board member for different organisations such as GVR and MWG. He's also a jury member for the Dutch Effies and the AMMA (Dutch media awards).


Yonca Aslanbay
Head of Advertising Department & Coordinator of the Communication PhD program at Istanbul Bilgi University – Turkey


Yonca Aslanbay is a Professor in marketing. She received her PhD degree in 1992 and lectures in different universities since. The extent of her printed academic research studies and teaching expertise lie in marketing, consumer behavior and research methodology. Her recent research focuses on new types of collectivities building through networking in the cyberspace.


Živa Švagelj

Živa Švagelj is the Strategic Marketing Director at Belinka Belles, a paint and varnish manufacturer. She has worked there for 10 years, building her way up from Project Manager to Assistant Director to Strategic Marketing Director.

Živa is responsible for implementing key elements of the marketing mix to the Belinka brand as well as public relations for two firms – Belinka Belles and Belinka Perkemija.

From the beginning of her business career, Živa has actively been involved in the national advertising and marketing industry. She was also a member of the organising committee of the 2006 Slovenian Advertising Festival (SOF), a member of the jury for advertising campaigns at SOF 2010, and she consistently follows the Effie Awards with great interest.

In 2010, she obtained her Master's degree in Communications with a focus on branding.



Alison Hoad
Vice Chair of RKCR/Y&R – United Kingdom


Alison Hoad started out as Brand Manager at P&G. She was soon inspired by the planners she worked alongside and decided to move into agency life in the early 1990s. She was regularly described by Campaign as one of London's best planners. Alison went on to be Head of Planning at Lowe Howard –Spink and Wieden+ Kennedy and in 1995 she joined RKCR/Y&R as Vice Chair. She has worked with clients such as M&S, BBC, Virgin Atlantic, Oxfam and the British government.

Alison's early life at P&G made her hungry to prove the commercial worth of brand communication. She has been the Convenor of Judges for the IPA Effectiveness Awards and contributed to numerous articles and books on effectiveness. She is an IPA Fellow and an external assessor of the BA Hons Advertising degree at the London College of Communication.

Alison is married with three children and lives in North London.

Anne Joffre-Bonnaillie is responsible for the development of brand-building strategies, marketing strategies and integrated communication and has covered a variety of P&G billion dollar brands in FMCG (Head & Shoulders, Always, Duracell, Olay) and appliances (Braun) with experience in almost every region of the globe. In addition, she is one of the few P&G digital experts leading digital marketing capability for P&G globally (Content, imedia, facebook, YouTube etc.) and a seasoned trainer in BIC communication practices.

Anne has worked for P&G for over 14 years and has outside professional experience in the leisure industry (cinema, publishing, music) having held positions of Mail Order Director and Marketing Director in companies such as Bertelsmann and UGC/20th Century Fox.

She is an ESSEC graduate and holds an MBA from INSEAD.


Anssi Järvinen
Creative Director at SEK & Grey - Finland


Anssi Järvinen has worked 25 years as Copywriter, Creative Director and entrepreneur. After working for some leading agencies in Finland, he co-founded an agency in 1993. He sold his part of the business to Leo Burnett in 2000 but still worked for the agency for two more years. After a one year sabbatical when he wrote a novel, he spent eight years at hasan & partners and joined SEK & Grey in 2011.

Anssi has won many local Effies and international awards such as Golden Drum, Golden Hammer, Epica and Eurobest and is one of the most awarded copywriters and creative directors in Finland in recent times. Today, Anssi leads the creative department at SEK & Grey in Helsinki, the most Effie awarded agency in Finland.


Arvid Boström
Managing Director at MEC – Germany


Arvid's motivation in working with clients and their brands has always been the curiosity for consumers and why they actually act – most of the time unconsciously – the way they do. His specialization in this field started during his university studies, when he wrote his master's thesis about the intensely discussed topic of neuromarketing. He continuously extended his understanding of consumer behavior since, and in particular how we can effectively influence behavior with the most efficient brand communication.

Arvid is a fan of Sergio Zyman and loves his realistic view on the "sole purpose of advertising" – driving the business forward.

Catherine Lautier

Catherine Lautier has been Global Account Director for L'Oréal at ZenithOptimedia since March 2012. Before that, she was the Director of Business Intelligence at DDB Paris, where she created a new department handling marketing consulting, communication planning, ROI measurement and research.

She spent most of her career at Procter & Gamble as a Senior Media & Communications Manager. She started at P&G France to develop the French media department and build digital marketing.

Catherine then joined the Sydney office to handle media for Australia and New Zealand, as well as helping develop P&G's digital strategy for Asia. Her last assignment at P&G was based in the Geneva European headquarters where she handled Gillette and Braun's communication strategies for Europe.


Dik Klicks
President of Draftfcb – Netherlands


Dik Klicks is President of Draftfcb in Amsterdam since June 2010. Together with the management team, he is responsible for the organisation, direction and performance of the agency.

Before joining Draftfcb, he worked for agencies like FHV / BBDO and TBWA Group. In September 2004 he was appointed CEO of Grey Benelux and was also a member of the European management team where he was responsible for all Grey operations in Benelux.

He worked on the 'Think Different' re-branding campaign for Apple Computers in Europe, the re-introduction of Fortis Worldwide and other leading brands such as Swatch and Nissan Europe.


Gilles Masson


Gilles Masson is CEO of M&C SAATCHI.GAD, a global communications group he created in 2005 with two Creative Directors: Antoine Barthuel and Daniel Fohr. With more than 90 people and 7 experts, the group is servicing leading brands such as Yves Rocher, La Banque Postale, Havana Club International, Pernod Ricard, Nespresso, Suez Environnement and Lyonnaise des Eaux.

Gilles began his career in 1986 at Havas and was later appointed Research and Development Director at TBWA\ Paris in 1992. He co-founded BETC Euro RSCG in 1995 and then joined EURO RSCG C&O as Vice-President. In 2002, Gilles was appointed Vice-President of Publicis in France and then President of Leo Burnett.

Gilles has over 20 years of experience in brand strategy, R&D, communication and in managing leading communications firms.


Gordon Nemitz

Gordon Nemitz started his career in advertising at Scholz & Friends Hamburg as a Junior Account Manager in 1999. In 2001, he switched into strategic planning and over the years worked his way down south from Equity and Jung von Matt in Hamburg via TBWA\ Düsseldorf to his final destination Zürich. Since 2008, he has been with Wirz Werbung where he started as a Planning Director and was appointed Chief Strategic Officer in July 2011.

Gordon liked life in Switzerland and married his Swiss wife with whom he has a daughter.


Guillaume Pannaud

Guillaume Pannaud started his career in 1990 at FCB Paris as a Strategic Planner where he was promoted to Planning Director in 1996.

In 1999, he created FCB Netbrand, an agency dedicated to digital brands which grew rapidly to become one of France's top creative agencies.

Three years later, Guillaume was appointed CEO of FCB Paris. Under his direction, it was awarded Advertising Agency of the Year in 2004, and picked up an impressive number of international and French creative awards.

In 2005, Guillaume was named President and CEO of FCB Groupe in France.

Gurdeep Puri

Before starting up The Effectiveness Partnership, Gurdeep Puri and his co-founder Janey Bullivant both worked at Leo Burnett, where Janey was a Planning Director and Gurdeep was Head of Effectiveness. One of his primary responsibilities was to help embed effectiveness into the culture of the agency. He has worked across Leo Burnett's businesses including Kellogg's, Procter & Gamble, McDonald's, Fiat, Heinz, Morgan Stanley, John West, Holiday Inn, Nintendo, Barclays and the COI.

He has personally won 5 IPA Effectiveness Awards (including double Gold in 2006), and 11 European Effectiveness Awards, including 3 Golds. The Effectiveness Partnership has helped its clients win over 25 Effectiveness Awards globally. He has worked with industry pioneers such as the late Dr. Simon Broadbent, and is a former member of the IPA Value of Advertising Group and IPA ROMI committee. Ian Macdonald

Ian MacDonald is Head of Strategy at Publicis London and global planning lead for UBS.

Ian has broad experience across advertising and market research agencies such as JWT and Millward Brown, as well as client-side. Prior to joining Publicis in 2012, he was Head of Brand and Advertising at HSBC.

His career started out running research groups in Sydney (from teenage boys to farmyard vets) before moving to Frankfurt with Millward Brown Germany managing the European accounts for Unilever, T-Mobile and Coca-Cola.

Luc Wise

Merry has over 30 years' experience as a Strategic Account Planner and Market Researcher. Her career has taken her to some of the world's greatest cities with stints in blue chip advertising and research agencies in London, Paris, New York, Stockholm and Brussels.

Her planning and research efforts come highly decorated; she's won three Institute of Practitioners of Advertising Effectiveness awards, the Market Research Society/Incorporated Society of British Advertisers Best Paper in 2001 and several US Effies. She has been an 'expert judge' for the IPA Effectiveness Awards, and the Marketing Society Excellence Awards and sits on the editorial board of the International Journal of Market Research. Last year, she was appointed a Visiting Fellow at the New College of the Humanities in London.

She has also been extensively published; in 2004, the APG's Brand New Brand Thinking, in 2008 she co-edited 'A Master Class in Brand Planning: the Timeless Works of Stephen King'. She writes a regular Best Practice column in AdMap and was the most downloaded author on WARC in 2011 and 2012. After graduating from the University of Augsburg with a PhD in 1993, Michael Trautmann became a manager at Bossard Consultants.

She is currently Director Brand, Communications & Corporate Responsibility and is responsible for advertising, sponsoring, internal & corporate communications and corporate responsibility. Her team has won several prizes for their campaigns, including an Effie for their innovative approach to online and social media platforms.

Mireille is a jury member of the Dutch Effies as well as board member of the Dutch Advertisers Agency (BVA).


Nina Pentek

At DDB Europe, Patrick Larsimont is Regional Director leading all Mars Inc. business handled by DDB in EMEA. Tom Donovan

Tom Donovan leads the Unilever global planning team at Ogilvy & Mather in London, responsible for brands including Dove, Dove Men, Hellmann's, Comfort and Snuggle. He joined Ogilvy in 2011.

Previously, Tom spent 12 years at TBWA\Chiat\Day in Los Angeles, the last three running the agency's Disruption practice, working with Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Procter & Gamble, UCLA and Zynga as well as various philanthropy and entertainment clients.

Tom joined TBWA\Chiat\Day in 1999 as part of the team that transformed Nissan from near-bankruptcy to a Harvard Business Review case study. He also helped revive Sara Lee's roster of iconic American food brands and played a key role in landing the agency's first assignments from Procter & Gamble and UNICEF.

Prior to that, Tom worked at BBDO/West in Los Angeles on M&M/MARS, Best Western and Pioneer Electronics. He began his career at Mullen Advertising in Boston on BMW, Timberland and Genesee beer.

Urša Pucko

Urša Pucko has more than 10 years' experience in managing advertising campaigns and marketing strategies. She has worked with domestic and international clients, primarily in the field of FMCG and has received many Effie Awards for communication efficiency in her work.

Urša is a member of the management board of the Slovenian Association of Advertising Agencies and is actively involved in the Best Practices project at the Slovenian Advertising Chamber. She was the Content Director of the Slovenian Effie 2012 organising committee, a member of the organising committee in 2010 and a jury member in 2009. Urša is a visiting lecturer at the University of Ljubljana's Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Social Sciences.

In 1993 Yves was appointed worldwide brand manager for Citroën and held this post for 6 years.


Yves Van Landeghem
CEO and Head of Strategy at Saatchi & Saatchi Brussels – Belgium


Yves Van Landeghem studied Labour Psychology (major in Consumer Psychology) at the University of Ghent. After his studies and internships with both Censydiam (research) and Quattro (then DMB&B) he went on to get an MBA in Marketing Management at the Vlerick Leuven-Gent Management School. He did a further year of research at Vlerick on Interactive Marketing and Communication, while teaching the same subjects. He then worked as a brand strategist for The Reference.

Since 2002, Yves has put his strategic expertise at work for Saatchi & Saatchi Brussels on a wide variety of markets and categories from automotive to electronics, banks to fast movers, corporate to governmental and B2B to B2C. He joined the management of the agency in 2006 as Strategic Director and has taken up the lead of the agency as CEO in 2013.
