The Effie Awards Europe 2025 are officially open for entries, and this year’s edition brings fresh energy and bold innovation to the forefront. As the marketing landscape continues to evolve, so do the Effies—introducing exciting new categories, enhanced entrant support, and expanded resources to recognize and elevate the continent’s most effective campaigns.
From spotlighting breakthrough work in health communications to celebrating the power of independent agencies, the 2025 program is designed to reflect the industry’s dynamic needs. Entrants will also benefit from a brand-new AI-powered support assistant and a comprehensive toolkit to craft stronger submissions than ever before.
What's new this year:
• Independent Agency of the Year award – A brand-new title recognizing outstanding performance by agencies not majority-owned by a holding company. This award highlights creativity and effectiveness coming from the independent sector.
• Multi-market: Health Effectiveness category– Launched in collaboration with EACA’s Health Communications Council, this category celebrates campaigns that make a measurable, positive impact on health outcomes—at both the individual and societal level.
The Health Effectiveness category celebrates marketing efforts proven effective in making a positive impact on health outcomes at an individual and societal level. Winners of this award will be recognised for innovative marketing strategies, technologies or creative approaches that bring about change to improve patients’ lives. Audiences can include, but are not limited to, patients, professionals, caregivers, advocacy groups. Examples include improving patient understanding, engagement and treatment adherence or perhaps a change in healthcare professional behaviour or clinical practice. Demonstration of significant collaboration with key healthcare stakeholders is important, as is the potential for long-term impact and scalability across regions or populations. Entries must demonstrate clear results associated with improvements in health outcomes and be underpinned by data that provides a robust-evidence base.
• Best of Europe: Influential Marketing category – This category recognises campaigns that have successfully leveraged influencer or creator partnerships to drive measurable brand results. It celebrates authentic collaborations that resonate with audiences, build trust, and generate meaningful engagement across platforms.
This category recognises brands that successfully partnered with influencers to achieve short or long-term marketing goals. Influencers can range from micro to macro and include social media personalities, brand ambassadors, and bloggers.
