Myralda Derks is a highly experienced global insights leader, currently shaping the Consumer & Market Intelligence function at L’Oréal Groupe.
Passionate about the dynamic intersection of marketing, digital and insights, she focuses on constructing a next-generation insights ecosystem; fueled by a deep understanding of human behavior, cultural forces and leveraging the power of social, data and Generative AI. She specializes in converting complex consumer & market intelligence into strategic and impactful business advantages.
A key priority for Myralda is fostering an environment where her team feels empowered to reach their full potential, think creatively, and deliver impactful results. She is driven by a desire to find meaningful solutions for evolving environmental, societal, and human needs.
Myralda’s career, beginning at Unilever in the Netherlands and followed by two decades of progressively senior leadership positions at Unilever in the USA, RSA and UK, has provided her with extensive international experience and a unique global perspective. The diverse cultural experiences have enriched both her personal and professional development, offering valuable insights into varying consumer behaviors and market dynamics.
Myralda’s global journey ultimately led her to L’Oréal in 2018, initially serving as the Chief Customer and Market Intelligence Officer for the Consumer Products Division. Since 2023, she has spearheaded L’Oréal Groupe Consumer & Market Intelligence.
Myralda holds a Social Psychology degree from Tilburg University.
