Ulrich Klenke, born in 1971, has been Chief Brand Officer at Deutsche Telekom since April 1, 2020. In this role, he is responsible for the global brand management and marketing communications of Europe's leading telecommunications group. Ulrich Klenke is a recognized brand and marketing communication expert with over 20 years of experience in this field. In 2024, he was awarded Germany's most prestigious marketing award, "Horizont Marketing Mann des Jahres". Since 2020, the brand value of the T brand has doubled, positioning it at #11 in Brand Finance's Global 500 brand ranking. 

After completing his degree in business administration, he began his professional career at Mercedes-Benz in 1995. He later worked in the German sales organization of the DaimlerChrysler group, where his responsibilities included brand and product communication for Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge. Ulrich Klenke then moved to become Managing Director at the DDB advertising agency in Berlin. In 2007, he took up the role as Head of Marketing at Deutsche Bahn AG, and in 2015, he became CEO of the Ogilvy Germany advertising agency. Following this role, he worked as a business consultant for the Board of Management at Volkswagen AG for two years, where he was instrumental in launching the ID. electromobility brand in 28 European countries.
