Thomas Gibson is Director of Communications at Stockholm Exergi, a Swedish energy company, and a member of the company’s executive management team. With overall responsibility for internal and external communication, he leads brand strategy, public and regulatory affairs, crisis communication, employer branding and marketing – ensuring communication contributes directly to business goals and long term value creation. 

He has extensive experience in building and transforming brands, most notably leading the full rebrand from Fortum Värme to Stockholm Exergi, significantly strengthening brand awareness and positioning. Thomas is known for navigating complex change and high stakes situations with clarity, credibility and impact, combining strategic insight with strong execution across channels. 

Before moving to Stockholm Exergi, Thomas spent many years in senior leadership roles within leading creative and advertising agencies, including as CEO, Deputy CEO and Senior Account Director at agencies such as Leo Burnett, McCann and King. He has worked with a wide range of international and Nordic brands across industries, delivering award winning communication rooted in clear business objectives and measurable results. 

Thomas brings a holistic perspective on effectiveness, creativity and leadership, shaped by decades of experience on both the agency and client side. As a juror, he is particularly passionate about work that demonstrates strategic clarity, creative excellence and proven impact.
